Meet the Doctors
We met in vet school at Auburn University and were inseparable after the first week. After vet school, we got married and moved to Georgia to a small town, rural, mixed-animal practice. We loved it there and worked at this great practice for 3 years. After having our first son, Sam, and then getting pregnant with our second, Chris, we decided to move closer to family. We were very blessed to find a new home and practice at Harrodsburg Animal Hospital. We are so excited to see our family, clinic and community grow in the coming years. We hope that all of you and your animals will be a part of that.
Dr. Thomas Turcotte:
I grew up in north Georgia and completed my undergraduate degree in Biology at ABAC (Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College) in Georgia. I then went to Auburn University to complete my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. I have a great love for all things nature and outdoors. In high school and college, I was involved in FFA, agriculture and veterinary medicine. I am an avid outdoorsman and enjoy hunting and fishing as much as I can. I also enjoy scuba diving when I can make it to the coast. While I did not grow up in this area, I am from a small town and love it here. I am very happy to be a part of this community and to be able to care for you and your animals.
Dr. Alex Turcotte
I was born and raised in northern Kentucky. I completed my undergraduate degree in agriculture at EKU. I then went to Auburn University to complete my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. I have always wanted to be a Veterinarian and while I grew up in the suburbs, I always managed to have animals around. I enjoy hiking, fishing, and boating. When I am not outside, I am a big book worm. I am so excited to be here and to get to know all of you and your animals and help provide the best quality of life for them and you.
